Accessibility is a key consideration in the design and development of our features. We adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA and EN 301 549 standards, as well as Sony’s internal accessibility guidelines.
Our team receives training to ensure compliance with these standards. We also conduct regular user research to identify areas for improvement. Customer and end-user feedback plays a vital role in refining our products for better accessibility.
We are committed to ensuring our products meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards and continuously work to improve accessibility. However, we have identified some areas where full compliance has yet to be achieved.
Due to very large tables and certain technical limitations, full accessibility in the Admin web application is not possible. However, we are actively working to make it as compliant as possible with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
The Analytics web application presents data through images and graphs, making full compliance with accessibility standards challenging. However, data can be exported and downloaded for further analysis.
Due to the use of a map as a core feature, full compliance is challenging. Please refer to the section below for an accessibility guide for the web application.
It is possible to use a screen reader and/or the keyboard to navigate the Nimway web application.
The following use cases are supported by the Nimway web application:
Find and see current availability of a specific room or desk
Book a room or desk
It is possible to specify the search for a date and time in the future. When doing so, it is possible to navigate both horizontally and vertically when selecting date. If you have specified a start and end time, a BOOK button will appear for the resources that are possible to book. Press the button to book the resource for the selected period.
A weekly calendar can be reached via the BOOK button in the room dialogs on the map. In the weekly calendar you can book by typing the date and time in form fields; tab until a Book button appears (it is hidden by default). Click Book and the form fields will appear.

A map can in some cases be used to show the same information, but all use cases and relevant information can be accessed from the menu structure and are visible in text format.
The Accessible color scheme setting in Settings is designed to enhance visibility and improve readability. The color palette is carefully selected to accommodate different types of color blindness, ensuring clear distinctions for users with various color vision deficiencies. This helps make the map accessible to a broader range of visually impaired individuals.
Go to Settings in the Nimway web app and turn on Accessible color scheme.
